Pies into trays, without handling
Packing pies into trays by hand is slow, repetitive work, and every touch is a hygiene risk. The pie packing machine does it automatically.
Pies arrive in gated rows, usually from a row aligner and gating machine. The machine drops empty trays onto the tray conveyor, two at a time, and places each group of pies into its own tray. Filled trays leave on the outfeed, ready for sealing, case packing or the freezer.
